Book Review - Havana Storm by Clive Cussler

Havana Storm (Dirk Pitt, #23)Havana Storm by Clive Cussler

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was definitely just another fun easy read in the Dirk Pitt adventure series. Ever since I read the first one many moons ago I have always enjoyed this series. It keeps me entertained for a few hours. Some folks might think the stories get a little cookie cutter but I think anyone that rights series like this tends to do them all in a similar manner.

Fight ClubFight Club by Chuck Palahniuk

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

This was such a weird book. I never saw the movie but folks said that was weird also so I sort of expected this to be weird but wow this was over the top weird. All can I say at this point is that I am done!

The Given Sacrifice by S.M. Stirling a book review

The Given Sacrifice (Emberverse, #10)The Given Sacrifice by S.M. Stirling

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is the 10th book out of 15 of a series that I Started a LONG time but now it seems to just keep on dragging on. He has created a fantastic universe in the Pacific Northwest and I guess we call it the upper Midwest so I understand the need for the number of books, but wow this is a long series. The author does a great job of describing the scenes but at times it feels like he gets stuck in the details. Trying to keep track of who is related to who and how made me feel like I was reading Game of Thrones with the number of characters involved. I am sure sooner or later I will get back to reading the next one but for now I will let this series sit lower on my priority list in terms of reading.

Book Review of: The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band

The Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock BandThe Dirt: Confessions of the World's Most Notorious Rock Band by Neil Strauss

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was an interesting read. Brought back memories of listening to their music in HS. I am truly shocked that they all somehow survived without seriously hurting themselves. Overall it was a decent read, just something different to read while stuck at home.
