All Systems Red (The Murderbot Diaries, #1)All Systems Red by Martha Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was just a decent book. It kept me entertained on my walks. The one thing that seemed to bother me was that the book kept calling the distance in kilometers as Kilos which I always associate with weight. I kept expecting to hear Clicks or Kliks to refer to the kilometers as a distance.

I read this originally in 1984 in High School so I thought it would be interesting to see how much I remember. And I am not ashamed to admit that I don't remember much of it. It was just something to kill time on my walks each morning and afternoon.

I jumped into this series with the second book in the series. I think I should have waited for the first one to be available. A lot of references were made back to the first one. It was a different kind of style and story and it was just ehhh to me. It did keep me entertained for a few hours while on my walks.

The Obsidian Chamber (Pendergast, #16)The Obsidian Chamber by Douglas Preston
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Just another book to keep me entertained on my daily walks and sometimes on my commute home from work. The beginning took off in a strange set of events that initially had me confused. Then I was shocked to hear that Diogenes had come back from the dead and the ending was sort of weird. Overall it was just another fun book to keep me entertained. TIme to move on to the next one.

Just another fun book in the Agent Pendergast series. This one had it's normal sets of twists and turns but with less of the supernatural action but more of what I call the freaky action that sometimes happens to agent Pendergast. I still enjoyed it.

Black Sun (Between Earth and Sky, #1)Black Sun by Rebecca Roanhorse
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This one was just decent. The author liked to bounce around to different times leading up to the climax of the book and I just found it annoying. The author also refered to one character by their name and apparently multiple roles/positions even though they meant the same thing. I just found it confusing to try and understand what was going on.

Grant and Lee: A Study in Personality and GeneralshipGrant and Lee: A Study in Personality and Generalship by J.F.C. Fuller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very cool comparison and in depth review of the civil war generals Grant and Lee. I learned a lot of interesting facts about both Generals. At times I found it hard to read. The quotes from the civil war era really slowed me down since their writing style was so much different than what is now and at times the authors writing style made me have to really slow down and re-read the sentences or paragraph to understand what he was trying to say. Overall I still enjoyed it.
